Job summary

FS Grain, LLC in Amboy, IL is seeking a Seasonal Grain Elevator Operator to manage grain handling, ensure quality, and maintain equipment. The role reports to the Facility Manager and emphasizes safety, customer service, and adherence to operations standards.

Experience in grain handling and the ability to work extended hours, plus a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel, are required. Competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or related agricultural experience.
• Proven ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to learn grain handling.
• Understanding and experience with mechanical diagnosis, service, maintenance, and upkeep of equipment and vehicles.
• Preferred basic computer skills to use the computer to enhance grain handling.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and ability to travel independently and overnight when necessary.
• Ability to work extended hours and on-call as business conditions warrant.

Responsibilities

• Grain handling including incoming, stored, and outgoing grain.
• Maintain the grain quality, blending, and providing grain drying services.
• housekeeping related to grain handling.
• Compliance with OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations and maintenance and professional appearance of equipment, rolling stock and facilities.
• Provide professional customer service that results in a pleasant experience for customers.
• Maintain company equipment according to company standards, adheres to the company Uniform Policy, and maintains the appropriate professional image.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
