Job summary

FS GRAIN in Northern Illinois seeks a dedicated elevator operator to manage grain handling, safety, and maintenance while delivering excellent customer service. Under the Facility Manager, you will load/unload grain, monitor quality, perform housekeeping, and comply with OSHA regulations.

A high school diploma and valid driver's license are expected. The role requires ability to work extended hours, travel when needed, and contribute to a team in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or related agricultural experience.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to learn grain handling.
• Experience with mechanical diagnosis, service, and maintenance of equipment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel overnight.
• Ability to work extended hours and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming, stored, and outgoing grain while maintaining quality.
• Perform housekeeping and maintain equipment and facilities.
• Ensure OSHA and safety regulations compliance and proper appearance of rolling stock.
• Provide professional customer service for a positive customer experience.
