Job summary

City of Fort Collins Golf Division seeks a motivated Golf Equipment Operator to join our team. This hourly, part-time role supports course maintenance and operations, requiring light and heavy equipment handling and a commitment to safety.

You will work outdoors in various weather, perform routine inspections, and collaborate with park staff to keep golf facilities well maintained. The position offers training, PPE, and opportunities for professional growth within the recreation department.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of landscaping and equipment operation experience.
• Unrestricted valid driver's license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to pass a motor vehicle record and background check.
• Physical ability to perform heavy manual labor.

Responsibilities

• Operate light equipment for upkeep and responsibilities.
• Operate heavy equipment such as gang mowers and utility vehicles.
• Inspect and maintain assigned equipment.
• Identify equipment needs for projects.
• Assist with cleaning and removing trash from golf course areas.
• May assist with irrigation maintenance and repairs.
• May assist with snow removal.
• Work successfully in a team or autonomously in all weather conditions.
• Follow established safety procedures and interact with the public professionally.
• Attend safety meetings and utilize PPE as required.
