Job summary

Down to Earth is seeking a Golf Equipment Operator to support daily golf course maintenance on our Florida properties. The role requires operating turf and grounds equipment with precision, safety, and teamwork to maintain high playability and appearance.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience with landscape or turf equipment, a valid Florida driver's license, and a willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience operating golf course maintenance or comparable turf equipment is preferred.
• Must be safety-focused and able to follow equipment guidelines and safety rules.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to work independently when needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate golf course maintenance equipment such as riding mowers, reel mowers, utility vehicles, tractors, turf vacs, skip-loaders, aerifiers, sprayers, and specialty turf equipment.
• Perform daily mowing of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and surrounds as assigned.
• Assist with bunker maintenance, debris removal, edging, and general grounds care.
• Monitor turf conditions and report issues to supervisors.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance such as cleaning, fueling, and blade checks.
• Follow daily work schedules, mowing patterns, and course setup instructions.
• Adhere to all safety policies and course rules.
• Support tournament setup, special events, and seasonal course preparation.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas, equipment storage, and maintenance zones.
• Performing other tasks as assigned.
