Knife River Corporation seeks a seasonal GIS Technician in North Dakota to support data collection, surveys, and inventory calculations on project sites. The role involves on-site work, drone-based stockpile surveys, and GIS tooling to measure volumes and ensure quality control.

Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with potential Saturday work and weather-driven schedule changes. Candidates should be able to travel to various ND project locations and maintain all required safety

Qualificações

• General education, problem solving, grammar, and arithmetic consistent with a GED or high school diploma; or equivalent transferable skills.
• Ability to learn survey methods and procedures to obtain proper certifications.
• Ability to learn new software and programs.
• Ability to hold and maintain proper licensure and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, possible nights and some Saturdays.

Responsabilidades

• Collect, examine, and evaluate data to determine quality against specifications.
• Conduct stockpile surveys using Trimble and drone technology.
• Measure stockpile volumes using GIS and create inventory calculations.
• Safely perform laboratory tests on materials (Aggregate, concrete, asphalt).
• Meet with field personnel and customers to investigate quality issues and troubleshoot resolutions.
• Travel to project and work site locations as needed.
• Ensure DOT, MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR safety and environmental compliance.
• Commit to safe work practices and report unsafe actions and conditions.
