Qualifications

• Familiarity with GPS Base/rover setup and functionality.
• Knowledge of Total Station setup and functionality.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, nights, and some Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Set up GPS base/rover for outdoor construction project sites.
• Set up Total Station.
• Calibrate and maintain GPS and laser control systems.
• Build, upload, and verify 3D models for machine control.
• Troubleshoot GPS, radio, and sensor issues in the field.
• Coordinate with surveyors and engineers on project designs.
• Manage data transfers between office and field systems.
• Perform field checks to verify grade accuracy.
• Maintain an organized inventory of control equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational skills

Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Able to work independently and under time constraints

Education

1-2 years' experience with GPS equipment and modeling

2 years technical school or construction industry experience
