Job summary

GameStop is seeking a Seasonal Sales Associate to support the store team on a short-term basis. The role focuses on delivering outstanding guest service within a holiday sales environment and participating in day-to-day store operations.

Ideal candidates will prioritize customer satisfaction, be available during peak seasonal days, and work to maintain a clean, well-presented selling floor while supporting sales initiatives and loss prevention efforts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail sales or guest service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class customer service by greeting guests, assisting with video gaming needs, recommending add-ons, and thanking guests at every transaction.
• Support the overall shopping environment, including visual and operational aspects, and contribute to store sales initiatives during the holiday season.
• Collaborate with the store team to keep all areas clean, organized, and merchandised according to guidelines.
• Assist in stocking and restocking merchandise, transfer products from stock room to front, and ensure products are well-presented and alphabetized on the floor.
• Help the team meet and exceed sales, profit, and shrinkage reduction goals.
• Address guest questions and concerns promptly, elevating issues to a store keyholder when needed.
• Support inventory control and loss prevention, and be aware of scams and safety practices.
• Adhere to GameStop policies and procedures, including attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.
