Job summary

TEKsystems in New York, NY is seeking a seasonal Retail Floor Associate to assist customers, demonstrate products, and maintain an engaging sales floor through year-end with extension possibilities.

The role requires at least 1 year in retail, cashier experience, HS diploma, strong communication, and the ability to lift/move merchandise and assist with displays. Onsite contract position with weekend availability during the holiday season.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of retail customer service experience.
• Cashier experience is required.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ability to lift and move merchandise while following proper safety procedures.
• Ability to use ladders and assist with basic display maintenance when needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service and create a welcoming shopping experience.
• Assist customers with merchandise purchases and answer product-related questions.
• Provide product demonstrations and share knowledge of gaming and electronic products.
• Recommend products based on customer interests and needs.
• Accurately process transactions using a cash register/POS system.
• Restock merchandise and maintain organized, visually appealing displays.
• Support routine store maintenance, merchandising, and display upkeep.
• Follow attendance, punctuality, and scheduling expectations.
