Job summary

GameStop in New York is seeking a Seasonal Sales Associate to support the store team on a short-term basis, delivering outstanding guest service within the Circle of Life sales model during peak holiday days.

You will help with sales, store maintenance, and customer service activities, greet guests, assist with purchases, restock, and ensure a clean, welcoming shopping environment while adhering to store policies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail sales or guest service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class customer service by greeting guests, assisting with video game needs, recommending items, and thanking guests.
• Support the overall shopping environment and contribute to store sales initiatives during the holiday season.
• Collaborate with the store team to keep areas clean, organized, and merchandised per guidelines.
• Assist in stocking merchandise and transferring products from stock room to front of store, ensuring presentation and alphabetization.
• Help meet and exceed sales, profit, and shrinkage reduction goals.
• Address guest questions promptly and escalate issues to a store keyholder when needed.
• Support inventory control and loss prevention, and stay aware of scams and safety practices.
• Adhere to GameStop policies and ethical responsibilities.
