Job summary

Alila Marea Beach Resort in Encinitas seeks a Front Office Manager for a temporary assignment. The role leads front desk operations, staff training, and guest services to deliver exceptional experiences.

Responsibilities include budgeting, scheduling, and maintaining high guest satisfaction while coordinating with housekeeping and other departments. Strong leadership, communication, and hospitality experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years work experience.
• At least 2 years progressive management in Rooms Division.
• Hotel/Hospitality degree preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Forbes Luxury Travel Guide Foundational Training and/or Exposure.
• Experience with hotel operations software sales programs.
• Strong project planning and prioritization skills.
• Highly organized, proactive, and results-driven; adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Hyatt guidelines to ensure health, safety and comfort.
• Interview, train, schedule, coach and support colleagues.
• Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing satisfaction.
• Coach and train on the Forbes Five Star Foundational Standard.
• Monitor front office financial operations and ensure controls.
• Develop, implement and monitor budgets and forecasts; manage capital items.
• Supervise all guest services supervisors including valet coverage.
• Handle guest requests and resolve complaints promptly.
• Oversee vendor and personnel contracts.
• Manage occupancy and minimize overbooking.
• Create action plans to address service deficiencies.
• Collaborate with other teams and maintain communication.
• Maintain communication with housekeeping.
• Provide friendly, personalized service; maintain demeanor.
• Other duties as assigned.
