Job summary

Total Wine & More is seeking a Cashier (Seasonal) in Washington to support fast, friendly service at the register and assist with basic front-end duties. You will handle transactions, promote loyalty programs, and assist with stock and customer inquiries.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in retail and comfort with POS systems, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends. This role may also involve as-needed merchandising and cross-functional store tasks.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of work experience in retail preferred.
• Passion for best-in-class customer service and team player mindset.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including identification verification, payment handling, loyalty program, and bagging product.
• Deliver exceptional service and a personalized experience by greeting customers, engaging to build relationships, and informing about products and services.
• Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
• Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards across the store.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol and maintain a safe and compliant store environment.
• Complete cross-functional responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
• Seasonal role: short-term, not longer than six months; option to apply for non-seasonal role.
