Job summary

Total Wine & More is hiring a Cashier to deliver fast, friendly service at our store. You will process transactions, verify IDs, answer questions, promote the loyalty program, and bag purchases. This role may also involve as a sales associate or merchandiser/stock duties.

We welcome a team player with a passion for customer service, 1–3 years of retail experience, and familiarity with POS systems. Flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years of work experience, 1+ years of experience in a retail setting preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Process sales transactions accurately, including identification verification and payment handling.
• Answer questions and provide customers with fast and friendly service.
• Promote loyalty program and bag products at check-out.
• Greet customers, engage with them to build relationships, and inform them about products and services.
• Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
• Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
• Ensure compliance with laws related to alcohol sales and keep the store safe and clean.
• Assist with cross-functional duties as assigned.
