Job summary

FedEx Supply Chain is seeking a Seasonal Forklift Operator to safely operate basic powered material handling equipment for product receipt, storage, and order fulfillment. You will perform case picking, pallet retrieval, quality checks, and load/unload duties while maintaining inventory accuracy and adhering to PPE and safety rules.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to work at heights, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to operate basic powered material handling equipment (e.g., electric pallet jack, forklift).
• Must meet all PPE and fall protection requirements.
• Ability to work on equipment at extended heights.
• Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and flexibility in meeting deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service driven.
• Strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Perform full case order picking for replenishment, customer orders, and packaging components.
• Retrieve and put away pallets in narrow aisle bulk rack storage systems.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure transaction accuracy.
• Load and unload pallets and cases from trucks and conveyor lines by hand or equipment.
• Sort and build product on pallets to meet customer expectations.
• Use machinery to apply shrink wrap to pallets.
• Complete pre- and post-equipment checklists.
• Maintain storage location accuracy through daily cycle counts and routine inventory maintenance.
• Perform other distribution tasks as needed based on business volume and operational needs.
