Job summary

FedEx Supply Chain is seeking a Seasonal Forklift Operator for the Day shift (Mon-Fri). You will safely operate basic powered material handling equipment to receive, store, and fulfill orders, ensuring product safety and integrity.

Key duties include order picking, pallet handling, quality checks, loading/unloading, shrink wrapping, and inventory maintenance. Requires a HS diploma, PPE compliance, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to operate basic powered material handling equipment (e.g., electric pallet jack, forklift).
• Must meet PPE and fall protection requirements.
• Ability to work at extended heights on equipment.
• Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and flexible in meeting deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer service mindset.
• Strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Perform full case order picking for replenishment, customer orders, and packaging components.
• Retrieve and put away pallets in narrow aisle bulk rack storage systems.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure transaction accuracy.
• Load and unload pallets and cases from trucks and conveyor lines by hand or equipment.
• Sort and build product on pallets to meet customer expectations.
• Use machinery to apply shrink wrap to pallets.
• Complete pre- and post-equipment checklists.
• Maintain storage location accuracy through daily cycle counts and routine inventory maintenance.
• Perform other distribution tasks as needed based on business volume and operational needs.
