Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in Port Reading, NJ is seeking a Forklift Operator for the 2nd shift on a seasonal basis. The selected candidate will move, store, and count merchandise using forklifts and other equipment, while maintaining safety and accuracy.

Responsibilities include receiving, put-away, order picking, inventory control, and proper documentation for shipments. A valid forklift certification and basic computer skills with RF scanners are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 6 months experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.
• Able to operate MHE
• Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program

Responsibilities

• Receiving/Put-Away: Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations. Input data accurately into WMS.
• Order Picking: Pull and prepare for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
• Quality: Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage; report variances.
• Delivery: Move product from staging/storage to production lines or docks with proper documentation.
