Position: Seasonal Forklift Operator

Location: Allentown, PA
Compensation: $26.00/hour
Shift Differential: 6%-8% of base hourly rate for applicable hours
Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts, 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM, 2nd Shift
Availability to work holidays and weekends is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely to move raw materials and finished products
• Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain energy sources
• Operate and troubleshoot palletizing equipment
• Conduct quality checks and inspect pallets and raw materials
• Maintain documentation on quality, inventory, and preventative maintenance
• Use scanning equipment for inventory tracking
• Collaborate with team members to prevent line stoppages and improve operations
• Keep work area organized and safe, adhering to GMPs
• Monitor equipment performance and downtime
• Achieve performance goals related to pallets, line loading, and truck turnaround
• Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams
• Cross-train for various lifting activities
• Provide coverage during team member vacations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 2 years of forklift experience with a good safety record
• Experience in manufacturing, preferably in food or beverage industry, with GMP knowledge
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, WMS, SAP preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly, basic math and reading skills
• Willingness to work holidays and weekends
• Successful completion of online skills assessment prior to interview
• Ability to work in variable warehouse temperatures
• Valid driver's license with no recent major offenses
