Qualifications

• Two years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, technical or professional experience in forestry, parks or recreational management, or an equivalent combination.
• An Associate's degree or higher in forestry, natural resources management or parks and recreation management may be substituted for the required experience.
• Special requirement: possession of a current MA Motor Vehicle Operator's License.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains public areas of assigned location such as restrooms, campgrounds, parking lots, trails, beaches.
• Performs various manual labor tasks and operates handheld power tools.
• Installs and maintains signs and supports for regulatory, historic or informational purposes.
• Plants, transplants, prunes, trims, fertilizes trees and shrubs; maintains lawns and gardens; sprays for pests and diseases.
• Operates vehicles and equipment in support of park operations and maintenance.
• Performs related duties as required.
