Job summary

A leading consultancy firm is looking for Archaeological Field Technicians to participate in archaeological surveys and fieldwork in the Southeastern United States. Responsibilities include conducting controlled surface surveys, excavations, and handling artifacts. The role requires a degree in anthropology or archaeology and experience in survey and excavation work. Candidates must be detail-oriented, have strong communication skills, and be willing to travel frequently for fieldwork assignments. This temporary position offers exposure to diverse archaeological tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience with inventory, survey, testing, and/or data recovery.
• At least 6 months of experience with archaeological survey and excavation.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in remote areas.

Responsibilities

• Conduct archaeological fieldwork tasks including surveys and excavations.
• Clean, catalog, photograph, and label artifacts.
• Prepare for and assist with upcoming fieldwork assignments throughout the Southeast.
