Job summary

Cooperative Farmers Elevator in Hudson, SD is seeking a General Laborer to support grain operations during the fall season, ensuring accurate handling, inventory tracking, and high-quality customer service for our members and customers.

You will perform maintenance on equipment, keep work areas clean, assist with loading/unloading grain and fertilizer, and follow safety policies while collaborating with location staff.

Flexible for overtime and weekend shifts as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel software.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at a time and maintain attention to detail.
• Knowledge of administrative procedures and systems such as general office machines and phone system.

To accurately assist in all grain operations during the fall season in an efficient manner and provide outstanding customer service to Cooperative Farmers Elevators members and customers.

Requirements

General Laborer

• Maintain grain quality
• Perform general housekeeping to maintain dust levels
• Perform maintenance and repairs to equipment
• Perform basic mechanical maintenance
• Measure and track grain inventory
• Perform basic grain handling, loading and unloading
• Ability to dump grain
• Assist with loading and unloading fertilizer
