Job summary

The Town of Truckee's Public Works Department is seeking Seasonal Readiness staff to support snow removal and facilities/ trails maintenance from October through March. This entry-level Facilities Maintenance Worker I position requires a valid Class C driver's license and the ability to work independently under supervision.

Ideal candidates are dependable, available during storms, and able to perform a range of tasks including painting, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, landscaping, and snow/ice

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of general maintenance and repair experience (preferred).
• Valid Class C driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform snow removal on streets and around Town buildings.
• Maintain buildings, landscapes, trails, and related facilities.
• Operate hand and power tools and light to heavy equipment as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain logs and records.
