Celerity designs, builds and maintains fiber optic infrastructure for our customers. We are currently looking for a FT Facilities Laborer. This position provides support in facilities maintenance, warehousing and housekeeping of the Celerity facility and property as assigned. This is a temporary/seasonal position.

Essential Functions

• Performs light vehicle and equipment maintenance and regularly cleans company vehicles and equipment as needed. Notifies Fleet and Facilities Coordinator about any damage or irregularities.
• Assists with inventory and securing required information to submit to appropriate contact.
• Assists Inventory Coordinator to stage materials for jobs.
• Receives, and performs loading/unloading of shipments.
• Assists Fleet and Facilities Coordinator to prepare vehicles and equipment for jobs.
• Assures overall cleanliness of all assigned work areas and (warehouse) by operating all appropriate equipment for the specific task, (janitorial and general maintenance).
• Maintains outside grounds: trash cleanup, grass cutting, weeding, snow removed, etc.
• Performs day-to-day errands using company vehicles as authorized and instructed by direct supervisor.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment: keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintains clean shipping supply area; complies with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Assists with transporting vehicles for service.
• Performs all job functions in a safe and effective manner, adheres to all safety standards and polices, including use of all appropriate PPE.
• Complete all other duties as needed. Contributes to the Celerity team by accomplishing assignments related results as needed by maintaining quality service through following organization's standards and expectations.

Work Environment

The work is performed in a shop and warehouse setting, with outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely includes the use of warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and operation of motor vehicles, and property maintenance equipment used for lawn and facility care, but only as authorized and instructed.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use basic hand, arm, foot, leg and body movements. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lifts and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Required Education And Experience

• High school diploma or GED or equivalency preferred.
• Mechanical/technical experience preferred but not required.
• Must be able to enter reports and timecards on an electronic device.
• Valid PA Driver's License is required
• A CDL Medical card is preferred and can be obtained upon hire.
  
  

Travel

No overnight travel is expected for this position. Daily local traveling to jobsites may be occasionally required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, seasonal position. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Forty (40) hours per week. This position may require 8-to-10-hour days. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
