THE POSITION

The Delaware Canal State Park is currently seeking a Laborer to join our dedicated team. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will ensure the safety and cleanliness of facilities for visitors while assisting both semi-skilled and skilled maintenance personnel. Your responsibilities will include the collection and disposal of waste throughout the park, as well as supporting fellow staff members in fulfilling janitorial requirements. Additionally, you will contribute to the upkeep of landscaping, help restock frequently used materials and supplies, and provide essential support in addressing customer service needs. Furthermore, you will offer information and assistance to park visitors.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits. The season runs from approximately March 2025 until November 2025 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment approximately March 2026.
  • Shift hours and days vary due to operational need, with a 30-minute lunch
  • Weekends, holidays, and all shifts as needed at 37.5 hours per week
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
