Job summary

The Seasonal Event Staff Member at a private club in Wilmington, VT, supports event execution for weddings, holiday gatherings, après-ski socials, private dinners, and large-scale functions. You work with the Food & Beverage and Events teams to ensure smooth service before, during, and after events.

Training is provided; candidates should be flexible, able to stand long hours, and maintain a professional, warm demeanor with members and guests.

Qualifications

• Prior hospitality, banquets, or events experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, professional attitude and appearance.
• Ability to remain calm and gracious in fast-paced environments.
• Able to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare event spaces according to layouts and timelines (tables, décor, place settings, signage).
• Greet and assist members and guests with a warm, professional demeanor.
• Serve food and beverages in accordance with service standards.
• Provide support for dinners, buffets, passed hors d’oeuvres, and bar service.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of event areas throughout service.
• Assist with event set-up, transitions, and post-event breakdown, including moving furniture.
• Communicate with Event Managers, culinary staff, and other team members for coordinated service.
• Adhere to club policies, uniform standards, and health and safety protocols.
