Royal Poinciana Golf Club is seeking an energetic Event Set Up Assistant to support the Floral department with club event preparations, setup, and breakdown. You will closely follow the Floral Design Manager's direction and work with Events/Catering to ensure timely, accurate room arrangements.

The role involves building and dismantling structures, operating tools, handling measurements, and occasional painting, with a focus on safety and efficiency in a high-volume venue environment.

Qualifications

• Good verbal communication and listening skills.
• Self-starter who is energetic and flexible.
• Maintains a calm, tactful demeanor in busy or stressful situations.
• Thorough understanding of safe operation of related tools and equipment.
• Ability to draw accurate sketches and take measurements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Events/Catering and Floral to understand the event setup.
• Works with Catering/Banquet staff on room setup and timing.
• Builds and dismantles structures and props as assigned.
• Operates all necessary hand and power tools to complete a job.
• Hangs pipe and drape as assigned.
• Ensures tools and equipment are cleaned, stored, and maintained for safety.
• May perform painting as needed.
• Measures and arranges materials according to blueprints or instructions.
• Uses tools to securely build assigned projects.
• Follows load lists and floorplans for event setup.
