Job summary

Royal Poinciana Golf Club in Naples, FL is seeking a Seasonal, Full-Time Event Setup Associate. You will collaborate with Events/Catering and Floral teams to understand event requirements, set up rooms, and build structures using paid-for tools while maintaining safety and accuracy.

This role requires physical stamina, a Florida driver’s license, and ability to lift 60 pounds. Hours are based on member needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with overtime eligibility.

Qualifications

• Calm, tactful demeanor in busy or stressful situations.
• Thorough understanding of safe operation of all related tools and equipment.
• Ability to draw accurate sketches to communicate project specs.
• Ability to take accurate measurements and calculations.
• Requires a valid Florida driver’s license.
• Prolonged standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling; lift up to 60 pounds.
• Must be able to use a ladder up to 12 feet.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Events/Catering and Floral to understand the event and setup.
• Works with Catering and Banquet staff on room setup and timing.
• Builds and dismantles structures and props as assigned.
• Operates all necessary tools to complete a job.
• Hangs pipe and drape as assigned.
• Maintains tools and equipment for safety and performance.
• May perform painting as needed.
• Measures, marks, and arranges materials per blueprints or supervisor instructions.
• Uses hand and power tools to build assigned projects.
• Joins materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesive.
• Follows a load list and a floorplan for event setup.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
