Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Catering with the preparation, setup, and breakdown of catered events and special functions.
• Ensure event spaces are properly arranged and ready before guest arrival.
• Assist with packing, transporting, and returning equipment following events.
• Maintain event equipment to ensure it is clean, organized, and ready for use.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized catering storage facility.
• Organize shelving, equipment, supplies, and event materials for efficient accessibility.
• Assist with receiving deliveries, unloading supplies, and maintaining inventory.
• Identify damaged equipment or supplies requiring repair or replacement.
• Help improve storage layouts and overall operational efficiency.

Position Overview

Lombardi Family Concepts is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and hands-on individual to join our Catering & Events team as a Seasonal Event Operations & Logistics Associate.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, working with their hands, and taking pride in keeping equipment, facilities, and event spaces organized and operational.

The selected candidate will work directly with the Director of Catering to assist with event setup and breakdown, equipment transportation, storage facility organization, and general light maintenance.

We are looking for a dependable, self-motivated team player who is comfortable with physical work, takes initiative, and can handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

Event Setup & Logistics

Assist the Director of Catering with the preparation, setup, and breakdown of catered events and special functions.

Ensure event spaces are properly arranged and ready before guest arrival.

Assist with packing, transporting, and returning equipment following events.

Maintain event equipment to ensure it is clean, organized, and ready for use.

Storage Facility & Inventory Organization

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized catering storage facility.

Organize shelving, equipment, supplies, and event materials for efficient accessibility.

Assist with receiving deliveries, unloading supplies, and maintaining inventory.

Identify damaged equipment or supplies requiring repair or replacement.

Help improve storage layouts and overall operational efficiency.

Light Maintenance & General Support

Perform basic maintenance tasks, minor repairs, and general upkeep of catering equipment and storage areas.

Assist with assembling furniture, shelving, and event-related equipment.

Handle basic tasks requiring common hand tools.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspaces and equipment.

Provide additional hands-on operational support as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

Previous experience in event setup, warehouse operations, facilities maintenance, moving, or general labor preferred.

Comfortable performing physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Basic knowledge of hand tools and minor maintenance tasks is a plus.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Dependable, punctual, and willing to take direction.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Flexible availability, including occasional evenings and weekends based on event schedules.

Valid driver's license preferred if transportation duties are required.
