Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse for seasonal per diem shifts. The position runs October 2026 through March 30, 2027, with two 12-hour shifts per week. TVH offers exceptional pay and a shift completion bonus.

The RN will perform timely assessments, monitor status, and assist physicians with diagnoses and procedures in a fast-paced ED. Qualified candidates have 1 year ER/CCU experience, a CA RN license, NIHSS within 3 months, and

Qualifications

• Active California RN license required.
• 1 year Emergency or Critical Care experience in an acute care facility.
• NIHSS within 3 months of hire.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required.
• Seasonal per diem assignment from Oct 2026 to Mar 30, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Performs assessments appropriate to patient’s presentation, age, development, and culture in a timely manner.
• Monitors hemodynamic status and correctly interprets results.
• Assists emergency room physician with diagnosis and interventional procedures (e.g., central lines, airway management).
• Maintains competencies on ED equipment including defibrillator, pacer, infusion pumps; adheres to ACLS and PALS protocols.
• Assigns triage categories using Emergency Severity Index.
