Job summary

Maricopa County Elections is seeking a Temporary Trainer to oversee training logistics for over 2,000 poll workers across multiple locations. The role involves preparing and distributing materials, supporting trainers, and co-facilitating classes with Elections Trainers under the Training Manager.

The position requires two years of office/clerical/training experience and a high school diploma or GED, with overtime during election cycles.

Qualifications

• Two years of office/clerical/training experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications.
• Must be a registered voter in Arizona by the time of hire.
• Must pass a background screening.
• Must possess or obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by hire.
• Must be able to work overtime during election cycles.

Responsibilities

• Assist with coaching and co-facilitating off-site training classes with Elections Trainers.
• Assist with distributing training materials, classroom resets, and data entry of surveys.
• Help develop and review training materials for poll workers.
• Provide guidance to poll workers via hotline, enter tickets, and dispatch assistance to locations.
• Assist in creating packets and binders with site-specific resources for inspectors and hotline staff.
• Support other Elections divisions in daily tasks and events.
