Job summary

The Michaels Companies is seeking a store associate for our Anchorage location to deliver friendly customer service and assist customers with shopping, product locations, and solutions. You will participate in truck unloading, merchandising, and stock recovery activities to keep the store well merchandised and in stock.

Responsibilities include fast, accurate checkout with cash handling, enrollment in the Rewards program, and support for omnichannel processes such as BOPIS and SFS.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Must be at least 16 years old per legal eligibility in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly customer service, help customers shop our store, and find what they’re looking for.
• Ensure all customers receive a fast and friendly checkout experience.
• Complete truck unloading and merchandise duties throughout the store including maintaining store recovery standards to deliver our Brand Promises.
• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the rewards program and complete enrollments.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to SOPs and Company policies; comply with applicable laws and requirements.
• Interact with others in a respectful manner; promote a positive image and team atmosphere.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
• Other duties as assigned.
