Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming telephone calls promptly and professionally.
• Assist customers with questions, requests, orders, and general account information.
• Provide friendly and professional service through telephone, email, and in-person interactions.
• Enter customer orders and service requests accurately and efficiently.
• Verify pricing, billing and delivery information, credit status, product availability, lead times, and tracking information.
• Listen carefully to customer needs and determine the appropriate action.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with new and existing customers.
• Direct product- or service-related questions to the appropriate employee or department.
• Stay informed about company products, services, programs, and special offers.
• Maintain accurate customer and company records.
• Open, sort, and distribute incoming mail.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure customer requests are handled promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

Beaudry Oil & Propane is seeking a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Seasonal Customer Service Representative to join our Elk River office. In this role, you will serve as a primary point of contact for customers through telephone, email, and in-person interactions. The ideal candidate enjoys helping people, communicates professionally, and can manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced office environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer incoming telephone calls promptly and professionally
• Assist customers with questions, requests, orders, and general account information
• Provide friendly and professional service through telephone, email, and in-person interactions
• Enter customer orders and service requests accurately and efficiently

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least two years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Previous experience working directly with customers or the general public is preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and manage time effectively
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and follow direction from managers and supervisors
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
