Job summary

Tahoe Donner Association is seeking a dependable Alder Creek Café Custodian at the Alder Creek Adventure Center in Truckee, CA. This part-time position involves cleaning, light maintenance, and ensuring spaces are ready for the next day.

You will perform routine cleaning tasks, stock supplies, and maintain equipment while delivering excellent customer service to customers, employees, and partners. Seasonal opportunities are available with competitive pay for experience.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to take direction and work unsupervised.
• Current CPR and first aid certifications are recommended.
• Demonstrates excellent communication and “people skills.”
• Must be willing to work nights, weekends, holidays and busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service to customers, employees and business partners.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks based on a schedule created by the location Manager.
• Use of appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment to keep the interior of the facility looking clean and professional.
• Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces.
• Dust and wet mop all floors in all areas and in restroom areas.
• Dust, clean, and sanitize all counter tops, window ledges and horizontal surfaces in public areas and offices.
• Ensure paper and soap dispensers are fully stocked and functional.
• Clean glass surfaces and windows.
• Clean and sanitize all sinks and toilet basins.
• Monitor janitorial supply inventory, and orders, as needed per established procurement guidelines.
• Maintain janitorial equipment and storage areas in a clean and organized fashion.
• Empty and clean trash receptacles and collect recycling.
• Report major damages and repairs to supervisor.
• Performs other cleaning duties as needed and/or instructed by supervisor/manager.
• Assists with snow removal including shoveling and clearing snow from walkways, equipment and other areas as necessary.

The Alder Creek Café Custodian is responsible for keeping assigned areas in clean, orderly and safe condition using custodial equipment, cleaning supplies, and light maintenance activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
