The Advanced Imaging Technologist performs technical duties across modalities, developing and monitoring procedures to ensure effective unit utilization. The role emphasizes outstanding customer service and respectful relationships.

Under the supervision of the department manager/Director, responsibilities include performing interpretive, patient care, and technical functions to ensure accurate radiologic diagnosis, following all ACR guidelines, and maintaining proper radiation doses. On-call duties may be required at the discretion of the Radiology Director. Additional duties include equipment maintenance and quality control.

1. Set up and adjust equipment per protocol and radiologist instructions.
2. Assess patients' conditions, explain procedures, and prepare them for exams.
3. Administer contrast agents and review patient charts to ensure proper examinations.
4. Maintain image quality, inventory, and safety standards; participate in staff training.
5. Apply extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology to obtain diagnostic images.
6. Attend safety training and adhere to hospital safety and exposure control plans.
7. Maintain professionalism and respect for patients and staff to foster a courteous environment.
8. Promote effective teamwork within the department.

Qualifications include being a graduate of a Radiologic Technologist school, with preferred three years of CT experience, ARRT(R) certification, and BLS certification (ARRT(CT) preferred).
