Job summary

The Salvation Army in Charleston, WV is hiring a Seasonal Full Time position to support bell ringing operations at the PMC-CAC Area Command. The role involves coordinating schedules for volunteers and drivers, setting up signs, and orienting volunteers to the facility’s layout and procedures.

Job Details: Job Location: PMC-CAC Area Command - Charleston, WV 25302, Position Type: Seasonal Full Time, Education Level: High School Diploma/GED, Salary Range: $15.00 - $15.00 Hourly, Schedule: Temporary - full time (up to 40 hours weekly)

This position is responsible for:

• Helping the Area Commander Schedule Bell Ringers according to the facilities available for ringing for that day.
• Schedule drivers to transport all bell rings out to the sites and return them at the end of the day.
• Help coordinate Angel tree pick-ups from locations.
• Set up signs at our ringing sites.
• Orient volunteers to the Corps facility’s physical layout and operation, and to pertinent Salvation Army policies and operating procedures.
• Keep the work area and vehicles clean, orderly, and in safe operating condition.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• The working environment is a warehouse without air condition/heat and with a cement floor where a majority of the day is spent.
• Temperatures in the warehouse and dock area might at times be very cold depending on the varying weather and temperatures during the Christmas season.
• Temperatures vary from approximately 30 degrees to below 0 in the winter.
• The position involves going in and out of the warehouse facility throughout the day.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or GED, and experience working in a retail store preferred, OR
• any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
