Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Temporary, full-time coordinator to manage bell ringers, driver scheduling, and volunteer coordination at the East Side location in West Virginia. The role involves setting up ringing sites, coordinating Angel tree pickups, and ensuring safety and organization across facilities.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, retail experience preferred, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED, and retail experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Retail store experience preferred.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience providing required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Schedule Bell Ringers for Area Commander based on daily facilities.
• Schedule drivers to transport bell ringers to sites and back.
• Coordinate Angel tree pick-ups from locations.
• Set up signs at ringing sites.
• Orient volunteers to the facility layout and Salvation Army policies.
• Keep work area and vehicles clean, orderly and safe.

Schedule: Temporary - full time (up to 40 hours weekly)This position is responsible for:Helping the Area Commander Schedule Bell Ringers according to the facilities available for ringing for that day. Schedule drivers to transport all bell rings out to the sites and return them at the end of the day. Help coordinate Angel tree pick-ups from locations. Set up signs at our ringing sites. Orient volunteers to the Corps facility’s physical layout and operation, and to pertinent Salvation Army policies and operating procedures.
