Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and one year experience with kettle fundraising preferred OR any equivalent combination providing required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Valid State Driver's License is required.
• Experience with kettle fundraising programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, screens, schedules, and supervises bell ringing staff and volunteers to ensure proper staffing at kettle sites.
• Maintains ongoing communication with staff and volunteers and provides recognition.
• Manages daily kettle income records, prepares program status reports, documents volunteer hours, and assists with counting, recording, and depositing funds.
• Plans and executes special events, engages with community leaders to promote Salvation Army initiatives, and transports kettles and supplies using Salvation Army vehicles.

Schedule/Hours: Seasonal Full-Time Position (Monday-Saturday, 40 hours per week)This position is responsible for:Recruits, trains, coordinates, and monitors the work of employee and volunteer bell ringers ensuring ample staff to meet location needs; prepares records and reports regarding the same.Key Responsibilities:Assists with the recruitment, screening, scheduling, and supervision of bell ringing staff and volunteers to ensure all kettle sites are properly staffed and operations comply with Salvation Army policies.Maintains ongoing communication with staff and volunteers, addresses concerns, and provides recognition through various forms of correspondence to foster a positive and supportive environment.Manages daily kettle income records, prepares program status reports, documents volunteer hours, and assists with the accurate counting, recording, and depositing of funds.Plans and executes special events, engages with community leaders to promote Salvation Army initiatives, and transports kettles and supplies using Salvation Army vehicles.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Ability to meet attendance requirements.Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.Ability to perform all duties with an understanding of the mission, ministry, philosophy, culture, and protocol of The Salvation Army and conducts all duties in accordance with the ministry of the organization and its Christian principles; conducts all communications and job duties with the highest level of professionalism.Duties are usually performed seated.
