Homebase, Inc. is hiring Seasonal Cooks to join the Silverton Christmas Market, a festive event running November 20 – December 31 with millions of lights, vendors, food, and holiday fun.

Cooks will prepare hot foods from food trucks, follow recipes and food safety standards, and work in a fast-paced environment while keeping cooking areas clean and organized. Evening shifts (roughly 4:30–9:15 PM) are typical, and an Oregon Food Handler Card is required.

Qualifications

• Friendly, dependable and able to work as part of a team.
• Comfortable in a busy, fast-paced cooking environment.
• Must have a valid Oregon Food Handler Card.
• Able to stand for extended periods and work evening shifts.

Job description

We're hiring Seasonal Cooks to join the Silverton Christmas Market! This festive event runs from November 20 - December 31 and features more than 2 million lights, vendors, food, attractions, and holiday fun.

As a Cook, you'll be responsible for preparing and cooking hot food items from our food trucks while following recipes, food safety standards, and established procedures. This position is ideal for candidates who are comfortable working in a fast-paced cooking environment and maintaining quality and consistency during busy service periods.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Friendly, dependable, and able to work well as part of a team
• Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced cooking environment
• Previous cooking or food service experience is helpful, but not required
• Comfortable standing for extended periods
• Able to follow recipes, instructions, and established procedures
• Able to safely operate common kitchen and cooking equipment
• Able to work in cold, rainy, and changing winter weather
• Available to work evening shifts, typically around 4:30-9:15 PM. Shift times may vary based on event needs.
• Must have a valid Oregon Food Handler Card
