Job summary

POWDR's Stovepipe Wells in Death Valley National Park is seeking a Cook to join our on-site kitchen team. You will work with F&B management, know menu items, maintain safety and sanitation, stock supplies, and ensure proper labeling while delivering friendly service in a remote, adventure-filled environment.

On-site housing is available, with a schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays to support kitchen operations.

Qualifications

• Must have CA Food Handlers Certification.
• Minimum 2 years food & beverage experience required.
• Able to work on-site in Death Valley National Park.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Take direction from F&B Management team.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, visitors, servers and coworkers.
• Know all menu and drink items, ingredients, processes, documentation and labelling practices.
• Ensure the work areas are clean and sanitized, good housekeeping, and proper labelling, and storage in line with CA Food Handling Safety Standards.
• Stock and organize supplies, refrigerated and frozen items in a maintained, organized environment.
• Complete all food safety checks, handwashing, cleaning, sanitizing protocols, wears gloves, in line with food safety.
• Wear clean, proper non-slip footwear and uniform with nametag.
