Job summary

Mission Point Resort on Mackinac Island seeks a Conference Services Manager for the 10-month summer season. You will oversee event planning, room setups, menu planning, billing, and detailed coordination with staff to ensure flawless execution.

The ideal candidate has a hospitality degree and at least two years in conference/event services, with strong communication and teamwork skills, and willingness to live on Mackinac Island during the season.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum two years experience in Event Management/Conference Services.
• Willing to live on Mackinac Island for the summer season.
• Knowledge of catering, food & beverage and hospitality practices.
• Positive, enthusiastic team member with ability to handle varying schedules.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage conference/event details, including room setup.
• Coordinate menus, billing, and logistics for groups/weddings.
• Communicate event details to Mission Point staff for successful execution.
• Assist with scheduling and daily operations as required.
