Mission Point Resort on Mackinac Island seeks a Conference Services Manager. This full-time, 10-month seasonal role manages groups and weddings, coordinates room setups, menus, billing, and communications to staff for flawless events.

The ideal candidate has a hospitality degree, at least two years in event management, and the ability to live on or travel to the island for the summer season. Housing is provided along with competitive wages and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum two years experience Event Management/Conference Services.
• Ability to live on or travel to Mackinac Island for the summer season.
• Knowledge of principles and practices within catering, food & beverage and hospitality.
• Be an enthusiastic, helpful and positive member of the team.
• May be required to work varying schedules as reflected by business needs.
• Be self-motivated and use time wisely.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned groups and weddings with detailed planning.
• Coordinate room setup, menu planning, billing and event details.
• Communicate all event details to Mission Point staff and ensure execution.

THIS IS A FULL-TIME, SEASONAL POSITION FOR THE SUMMER 2027 SEASON (MID JANUARY THROUGH MID NOVEMBER)Mission Point Resort, Mackinac Islands' only full service, casual resort is currently seeking candidates to fill the position of Conference Services Manager. This full time 10 month position is located on Mackinac Island and offers competitive pay, housing, other perks. The ideal applicant will possess an upbeat attitude and enjoy working in a multi-cultural environment.POSITION SUMMARYThe Conference Service Manager is a detail oriented planning professional, possessing excellent event management and clerical skills. Conference Service Manager will be assigned groups and weddings that will be handled in detail by the CSM. This will include room setup, menu planning, billing, and any details related to the event.
