Waldorf School of thePeninsula (Preschool - Grade 12) is celebrating it's 41st year of bringing Waldorf education to Northern California. Our school has two beautiful campuses: Preschool through grade 5 in Los Altos and a few miles away in Mountain View are grades 6-12. Waldorf School of the Peninsula is seeking compassionate, reliable, and collaborative Seasonal Coaching Assistants to support our Middle and High School Athletics program. Our ideal assistants are individuals who appreciate Waldorf education, can provide a warm and nurturing presence, and are comfortable stepping into a variety of learning environments.

Responsibilities (under the supervision of the Head Coach or Athletics Director)

• Assist with after-school Athletics in High School
• Provide support as directed by the lead coach
• Assist with student safety and follow all school policies and procedures

Qualifications and Requirements

• Open to current WSP students, external high school juniors and seniors (minimum age 16), and high school graduates. Applicants under 18 must provide 3 teacher recommendations. A work permit is required for applicants under 18, and work is limited to 2 hours per day after school during the athletics season. Applicants age 18 or older will be subject to a professional reference check.
• Experience working with students in an educational or childcare setting preferred
• Waldorf training preferred, or interest in, or familiarity with Waldorf education
• Ability to adapt, take initiative, and maintain a steady, grounded presence
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work on short noticeon-call, as-needed basis
• Must pass a background check and TB assessment

Compensation

The hourly payrate for this position is $23.97 an hour.
