Waldorf School of the Peninsula in Mountain View is seeking a Seasonal Part-Time High School Boys Volleyball Coach.

The Volleyball Coach is responsible for overall team management, running comprehensive and objective-driven practices, delivering high-energy, technically correct sessions, organizing schedules and communications through Teamsnap, transporting athletes in school vans, and attending pre/post-season coaches meetings.

Qualifications

• Safety oriented and CPR/AED/First Aid trained.
• Previous volleyball coaching/playing experience preferred.
• Solid technical knowledge of volleyball strategies, skills and rules.
• Ability to communicate well with players, parents and athletic staff.
• Organized with roster, uniform and scorebook management.

Responsibilities

• Run comprehensive and objective driven practices.
• Run high-energy, technically correct, and physically challenging practices.
• Organize and manage schedule and communication through Teamsnap.
• Transport athletes to and from practices/games with school vans.
• Attend Pre/Post Season Coaches meetings.

Our school has two beautiful campuses: Preschool through grade 5 in Los Altos and a few miles away in Mountain View are grades 6-12. The Waldorf School of the Peninsula in Mountain View is seeking a Seasonal Part-Time High School Boys Volleyball Coach.

If you are passionate and devoted to inspiring students through volleyball, we welcome you to our High school. Practices and games are generally after school around 3:30pm-6pm

The Volleyball Coach is responsible for overall management of the volleyball team.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Run comprehensive and objective driven practices.
• Run high-energy, technically correct, and physically challenging practices
• Able to organize and manage schedule and communication through Teamsnap
• Able to help transport athletes to and from practices/games with our school provided vans
• Able to attend Pre/Post Season Coaches meeting.
• Must have a valid California driver’s license to drive the team van.

Qualifications

• Safety Oriented. Ensure the playing environment is safe; be trained in CPR/AED and First Aid.
• Previous Volleyball coaching/playing experience is preferred.
• Technically competent. A solid technical knowledge of Volleyball strategies, individual skills, and rules of the game.
• Ability to communicate well, verbally and in writing, with the players, parents, and the athletic department.
• Organized. Able to manage rosters, uniform distribution and collection, line ups, and scorebook.

Preferred Certificates

• NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching
• NFHS Concussion in Sport
• Must complete DOJ and FBI live-scan fingerprinting prior to the start of service. The position is compensated between $26 - $35 per hour depending on qualifications and duties.
