Job summary

The Waldorf School of the Peninsula in Mountain View seeks a Seasonal Part-Time Middle and High School Tennis Coach to lead after-school tennis programs at our campus. The role focuses on safe, engaging practices and team development for middle- and high-school players.

Responsibilities include organizing rosters, communicating with families, and transporting athletes as needed. Previous coaching and a California driver’s license are preferred; NFHS certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Safety oriented; CPR/AED and First Aid trained.
• Previous tennis coaching or playing experience preferred.
• Solid technical knowledge of tennis strategies and rules.
• Clear communication with players, parents, and athletic staff.
• Organized; can manage rosters, uniforms, lineups, and scorebook.

Responsibilities

• Run comprehensive, objective driven practices.
• Lead high energy, technically correct and challenging sessions.
• Organize rosters, uniforms, lineups, and scorebook; use Teamsnap for communication.
• Transport athletes to and from practices/games using school vans.
• Attend pre/post season coaches meetings.

The Waldorf School of the Peninsula in Mountain View is seeking a Seasonal Part-Time Middle and High School Tennis Coach.

If you are passionate and devoted to inspiring students through Tennis, we welcome you to our High school. Practices and games are generally after school around 3:30pm-6pm

The Tennis Coach is responsible for overall management of the tennis team.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Run comprehensive and objective driven practices.
• Run high-energy, technically correct, and physically challenging practices
• Able to organize and manage schedule and communication through Teamsnap
• Able to help transport athletes to and from practices/games with our school provided vans
• Able to attend Pre/Post Season Coaches meeting.
• Must have a valid California driver’s license to drive the team van.

Qualifications

• Safety Oriented. Ensure the playing environment is safe; be trained in CPR/AED and First Aid.
• Previous Tennis coaching/playing experience is preferred.
• Technically competent. A solid technical knowledge of Tennis strategies, individual skills, and rules of the game.
• Ability to communicate well, verbally and in writing, with the players, parents, and the athletic department.
• Organized. Able to manage rosters, uniform distribution and collection, line ups, and scorebook.

Must complete DOJ and FBI live-scan fingerprinting prior to the start of service. The position is compensated between $26 - $35 per hour depending on qualifications and duties.
