Job summary

The Waldorf School of the Peninsula in Mountain View is seeking a Seasonal Part-Time High School Boys Volleyball Coach. The role focuses on developing players and leading the volleyball program with after-school practices and games around 3:30pm-6pm.

The coach will run practices, manage schedules and transportation, and participate in pre/post season meetings. CPR/AED/First Aid and coaching credentials are preferred, with a competitive hourly rate based on qualifications.

Qualifications

• Safety oriented. Ensure the playing environment is safe; CPR/AED and First Aid training.
• Previous Volleyball coaching/playing experience is preferred.
• Technically competent. Solid knowledge of volleyball strategies, individual skills, and rules.
• Ability to communicate well, verbally and in writing, with players, parents, and the athletic department.
• Organized. Manage rosters, uniform distribution, lineups, and scorebook.

Responsibilities

• Run comprehensive and objective driven practices.
• Run high-energy, technically correct practices.
• Organize and manage schedule and communication through Teamsnap.
• Help transport athletes to and from practices/games with school vans.
• Attend Pre/Post Season Coaches meetings.
• Must have a valid California driver’s license to drive the team van.

If you are passionate and devoted to inspiring students through volleyball, we welcome you to our High school. Practices and games are generally after school around 3:30pm-6pm

The Volleyball Coach is responsible for overall management of the volleyball team.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Run comprehensive and objective driven practices.

• Able to help transport athletes to and from practices/games with our school provided vans
• Able to attend Pre/Post Season Coaches meeting.
• Must have a valid California driver’s license to drive the team van.

• Must complete DOJ and FBI live-scan fingerprinting prior to the start of service. The position is compensated between $26 - $35 per hour depending on qualifications and duties.
