The Salvation Army is seeking a Christmas Assistant to support holiday operations, manage donation kettles, coordinate volunteers, and assist with toy distribution days in Mount Vernon and Anacortes.

Reporting to the Corps Officer, this temporary seasonal role requires a high school diploma, at least six months related experience, a valid Washington driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs; you will help ensure a smooth, compassionate community outreach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; some post-secondary education preferred.
• At least six months related experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Must possess a valid Washington State driver’s license.
• Must pass The Salvation Army driving test and Motor Vehicle Records check.
• Must be willing to continually lift 30 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to drive own and/or assigned TSA vehicles.

Responsabilités

• Transport and manage donation kettles and supplies.
• Coordinate volunteers and assign workers to sites.
• Drop kettles off and pick up kettles at scheduled shifts.
• Help set up toy distribution areas and coordinate toy donations.
• Assist with deposits and learn the deposit process.
• Oversee driver schedules and routes.
