Job summary

Prince George's County Government is seeking Seasonal CDL Operators for the Office of Highway Maintenance to support snow and ice operations. This position requires operating a range of light equipment and trucks, with overtime as needed during winter storms and emergencies.

Responsibilities include performing inspections, logging daily activities, and assisting with maintenance tasks. Positions are temporary for the 2027 season with location options across Forestville, Glendale, or Brandywine

Qualifications

• Completion of a standard grade school course.
• One year experience operating light power equipment.
• A valid Class A or B CDL with endorsements.
• DOT medical exam required.

Responsibilities

• Operate light equipment such as street sweeper, bucket truck, chipper, and more.
• Transport personnel and materials to job sites using dump trucks.
• Assist with maintenance and repairs of equipment and vehicles.
• Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain daily logs.
• Participate in Snow and Ice Control Program and emergencies.
• Maintain records and daily work logs and reports.
