Job summary

Prince George’s County Government seeks staff to perform unskilled manual labor tasks associated with asphalt, masonry, mowing, and grounds maintenance across county facilities and rights‑of‑way. The role requires initiative, safe operation of equipment, and flexibility to work variable hours, including overtime during weather events.

These are temporary positions for the Spring Storm Season under the Department of Public Works and Transportation.

Qualifications

• Completion of six (6) school grades.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Perform the full range of manual labor duties described, including street/grounds maintenance.
• Assist in maintaining streets, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and related infrastructure.
• Operate and care for tools and equipment as directed by supervisors.
• Carry out required safety procedures and wear protective gear at all times.
• Be prepared to work variable hours, including overtime during storms or emergencies.
