PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Operates a single, tandem, or multi-axle truck for delivery and/or pick-up of agronomy and/or energy products, following specified schedules to/from company or customer locations to support profitable business growth.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Operate all assigned vehicles, including single, tandem, or multi-axle trucks, forklifts, etc., in accordance with safety standards and proper vehicle operation techniques.
2. Perform and record daily safety checks of vehicles and equipment, including pre-trip inspections (fuel, oil, tires, lights, brakes), and follow preventative maintenance programs. Maintain a clean vehicle appearance.
3. Load and unload containers, pallets, or materials safely on trucks, trailers, or railcars by hand or forklift, ensuring loads are balanced and distributed correctly, and checking axle weights in accordance with DOT regulations.
4. Ensure timely deliveries and pickups, promoting excellent customer service and professionalism.
5. Complete all necessary documentation accurately, such as bills of lading, delivery slips, and invoices, and return them promptly to ensure timely processing.
6. Maintain accurate logbooks and records of cargo and other relevant documentation daily.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Maintain company equipment per standards, adhere to the Uniform Policy, and uphold a professional image. Follow GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct, Environmental Health and Safety policies, OSHA, DOT regulations, and perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

1. High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years of related experience preferred, with knowledge of safe tractor-trailer operation and compliance with company and DOT standards.
2. Essential skills include business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision-making, and skill development.
3. Must hold or be able to obtain and maintain a CDL with required endorsements, a valid medical card, and a clean driving record.
4. Ability to work extended hours as needed.
5. Must obtain and maintain applicable certifications, licenses, and permits.
6. Physical requirements include working in extreme weather, noisy conditions, dust, fumes, chemicals, electrical hazards, and at heights. Ability to lift 51-70 lbs.
7. Willingness to participate in training related to company policies and safety procedures.
