Job summary

Steve Madden is seeking a friendly part-time Cashier in Tampa, FL. You will greet customers, answer questions, and handle sales at the POS with accuracy.

You will maintain product knowledge, process transactions, balance cash at the register, and support floor moves, merchandising, and stock replenishment.

This role offers a flexible schedule and eligibility for employee discounts for you and family.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1–2 years of retail experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to process information or merchandise through the computer system and POS register.

Responsibilities

• Maintain outstanding customer service standards, possess solid product knowledge, greet and acknowledge every customer, and address any and all concerns by the customer at POS.
• Reinforce a rewarding customer experience.
• Complete all sales transactions accurately and efficiently, while maintaining all cash accountabilities at registers.
• Assist in various store operations, including floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, cleaning duties when necessary, and returning products to inventory as needed.
• Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise; participate in receiving and monitoring floor stock.
• Be flexible to occasionally perform work outside your specific role.
