Job summary

Barnes & Noble College is seeking a Seasonal Campus Store Team Member in Jacksonville, AL. You will greet customers, help locate materials, and operate the register in a fast-paced campus environment.

You will maintain a clean, organized sales floor, assist with inventory, and support daily store operations. The role requires reliability, strong communication, and the ability to work certain evenings and weekends during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Help customers locate products and answer questions for course materials, supplies, apparel, and gifts.
• Operate the point-of-sale system to process transactions accurately (cash, credit, financial aid).
• Keep the sales floor clean, organized, and stocked through merchandising and replenishment.
• Assist with inventory, receiving merchandise, and other store operations as needed.
• Build product knowledge to confidently assist customers and collaborate with teammates.
