Peninsula Metropolitan Park District in Gig Harbor, WA is seeking a Recreation Leader I - Basketball Referee for seasonal work. The role supports a range of youth and adult programs and oversees safe, organized play.

Responsibilities include assisting with leagues, camps, and events, coordinating with the Recreation Coordinator, and handling registrations. Work hours vary, up to 79 hours per month, with a focus on customer service and safety.

Formación

• Childcare: 1 year (preferred).
• High school diploma or comparable experience.
• First Aid Certification (Preferred).
• CPR Certification (Preferred).
• Knowledge of recreation programs and youth activities.
• Strong verbal and written communication.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with youth and adults sports leagues, camps, clinics, and events.
• Assist Recreation Coordinator with planning and supervision of youth activities and events.
• Communicate feedback between participants and supervisor.
• Prepare documents and rosters.
• Process program registrations and update client accounts.
• Attend meetings and trainings as assigned.
• Engage with program participants at all times.
• Perform facility opening and closing responsibilities.
• Perform minor custodial and maintenance duties.
• Assist with other recreation programs as requested.
